Very easy and efficient! I reserved ahead of time and someone was waiting for us at the airport upon arrival. Transportation provided to and from airport to the rental location (very close to airport), clean building, friendly staff with great customer service. No negative issues with vehicle or rental process. :). And we needed that 4X4 (for sure!) to drive on the coastal roads. Great experience, would do it again.

My daughter lives in Costa Rica so my wife and I visit often. We have rented vehicles each time from Budget at both the Liberia airport and the San Jose airport, and we have always been very satisfied with the experience. The most recent time, in January 2019, we booked a ten-day rental but decided to turn the vehicle in three days early. Because I had prepaid I assumed there would be no refund, but Budget contacted me to say they will issue a credit for the three days.
My wife and I will be back soon and we will definitely rent with Budget Costa Rica again.

Rented 3 weeks with a Toyota SUV great experience no problems. I was helped by Ms. Quan who was very professional and helpful. I extended my rental for two additional weeks. Pick up and drop off are fast and the Budget office is very clean and comfortable with a nice shady sitting area outside. Their shuttle pickup was easy to find in the airport and prompt.

Quick transfer service to the airport and back. I had thought I ordered a 4×4 SUV, but mistakenly reserved a basic and they allowed me to upgrade at a cash discount (did the math and was not ripped off!). No pressure to purchase added insurance. The car did have some scratches and dings that I took pictures of before leaving the rental agency. Upon return they did a quick walk around and said car was perfect

Great customer service. When the booking agent made a mistake by reserving a manual transmission, they upgraded me to a larger car with an automatic. The agent went over the car with me like a car salesman (a good thing) showing me many of the controls and features of the car.
